I have had the pleasure of attending many local community council meetings via video link during this pandemic and it has been great to respond to all of the important issues that have been raised.
I have also been in contact with my constituents via phone, email and social media. One subject which has been brought to my attention most particularly from residents from Islay, Jura, Colonsay and Gigha are our ferries. While there was always challenges before with our transport links they have been exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic.
It goes without saying that our ferries and their hard working crews and port staff are delivering a lifeline service to our Islands. However without substantial investment and skilled management our transport network will continue to struggle.
As your local councillor I will continue to work with my constituents, my colleagues, community councils and our MSP's and MP's to improve our local ferry services.
