You don't need to have been a member of an association like ours for long to realise that campaigning is a necessary but costly operation.  So, we are always seeking ways in which to make this aspect as painless as possible for our members and supporters.

Consequently, it seems only prudent to avail ourselves of a modest but steady fundraising opportunity which has been made possible by the growth of the internet and the popularity of online retail activity.

Now, we would be the first to encourage members and supporters to support local businesses where at all possible.  However, for those challenging occasions when that special something you're looking for is available only via an online retailer, we would love you to sign up with Easyfundraising.org.uk, selecting as your cause Argyll & Bute Scottish Conservative & Unionist Association.

So, how does it work?  Well, it's really straightforward.  In fact, it's as easy as 1, 2, 3!

For the sake of argument, we'll assume that you've already been to http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk, signed up, and specified the cause you wish to support.

Next....

1. Start at easyfundraising


Let's say you want to buy a particular book, and that you have been able to find it only at Amazon.  Instead of going to amazon.co.uk, you go to easyfundraising.org.uk first  -  or you can use the Easyfundraising Find & Remind toolbar if you've already downloaded that clever wee device.



2. Make a purchase


You click from the Easyfundraising website through to Amazon to make your purchase.  The price of the book is exactly the same as if you'd visited Amazon directly.  Yes, you read that correctly  -  the price of the book is exactly the same as if you'd visited Amazon directly.



3. Get a donation


After you've bought your book, Amazon will make a donation to your cause (that's Argyll & Bute Scottish Conservative & Unionist Association, remember) as a thank-you for shopping with them.  Easyfundraising collects these donations, and it costs nothing!

Afterwards, Easyfundraising sends the donation which you've earned for the Association by shopping via Easyfundraising, straight into the Association's bank account.
