The first re-opening of public toilets by Argyll and Bute Council has been welcomed by local elected representatives.
Highlands and Islands MSP Donald Cameron said: “The re-opening of public services, so long as it can be done safely, is very welcome.
“It is important that these changes are conducted in a measured and co-ordinated manner which have the confidence of the public.”
Cllr Alastair Redman (Kintyre and the Islands ward) added: “I am sure many people will be relieved – in more ways than one!
“The phased re-opening of the toilets will need to be done with great care, taking into account public health guidance.
“But as we relax the lockdown it is paramount that important public facilities like these are opened in tandem otherwise we could face real problems.
“I hope to see more toilets re-open before too long including in the islands and the more rural parts of Argyll and Bute such as Kintyre.”
