I have spent the past few days travelling around speaking and listening to my constituents on Islay.
The problems with our poor local road conditions continue to be prevalent and recent road flooding has only increased the challenges our roads department have to deal with. Also many broken street lights still need to be fixed.
I have heard from many constituents about dog fouling in Portnahaven, Port Charlotte, Bowmore and Port Ellen. There is also the ongoing matter of littering in Bowmore which appears to be most frequently at school lunch time.
All of these matters brought to my attention by my constituents and much more have been raised with the appropriate departments.
I'm delighted for my constituents to contact me anytime day or night about any local matter that may be of concern.
