The SNP will always put another divisive independence referendum ahead of restoring Scotland’s schools.
Recently at FMQs, Nicola Sturgeon had no answers as Ruth Davidson challenged her over the SNP’s continued failure to close the attainment gap between our most-deprived and least-deprived pupils.
Meanwhile, John Swinney refused to admit that all children will need to catch up after a year of broken teaching and remote learning.
Nicola Sturgeon has repeatedly said people should judge her on the SNP Government’s education record, but the reality is that after 14 years in charge the SNP have failed miserably to reduce the attainment gap in our schools.
The SNP are content with an underperforming education system. We want to restore excellence in Scottish schools so that every child has the chance to succeed.
Cllr Alastair Redman Kintyre and the Islands ward.
