Highlands and Islands MSP Donald Cameron has praised an initiative being taken by two secondary schools in Argyll and Bute which have merged their timetables to allow for the digital delivery of lessons.
“These measures, taken by Oban and Tiree High Schools, which support attainment and provide the greatest possible subject choice for pupils, are a creative response to the challenges posed by the pandemic.
“Emergencies often lead to new and innovative thinking and I hope that we can learn from these, and other responses, when it comes to developing our educational provision in the future.
“The Highlands and Islands have a proud tradition of delivering education and it is very encouraging to see this commitment to maintaining that tradition.”
