Pupils at Port Ellen Primary School on Islay were over the moon when they received a comment from NASA on Twitter, congratulating them on building rockets as part of their home learning activities during lockdown.
The children were all tasked with creating a rocket as part of a Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) challenge.
Local Councillor, Alastair Redman said "It's fantastic to see Port Ellen Primary turning heads at NASA with their Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths work. Who knows in the future we might very well see today's Port Ellen Primary School pupils becoming tomorrow's rocket scientists and astronauts.
"Well done to all the students, teachers and staff at Port Ellen Primary."
