Highlands and Islands MSP Donald Cameron has pledged to work with the newly elected and re-elected councillors on Argyll and Bute Council following last week’s elections.
The Scottish Conservative MSP said: “I was, of course, delighted to see a record number of Scottish Conservative councillors returned, including a number of new members.
“However, it’s very important that all councillors, regardless of political allegiance, work together to deliver for local people, and I fully intend working with all elected representatives.
“Argyll and Bute faces many challenges, not least of which is the shocking state of many of our roads, and the ageing ferry fleet which is no longer fit for purpose.
“By working together I am hopeful that we can exert sufficient pressure on the Scottish Government to live up to its promises and deliver the investment we need.”
