The Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced further financial support for businesses and self-employed people.

Throughout this crisis, the UK Government has taken decisive action to protect nearly a million jobs and tens of thousands of businesses across Scotland.

Having already expanded support for businesses that are legally required to close, Rishi Sunak has recently announced a package of support for businesses allowed to stay open but facing reduced demand. This includes a more generous Job Support Scheme and more cash to fund business grants, as well as the doubling of the self-employed grant.

The SNP Government must now stop stalling and deliver further funding to protect Scottish jobs, so that people can continue to provide for themselves and their families.
