The SNP’s bungled ferry deal won’t be commercially viable. The Competition and Markets Authority have warned that the nationalised Ferguson Marine yard is unlikely to make a ‘commercially successful business.’
There are also warnings about how a government owned yard could affect the wider shipbuilding industry. The ferry scandal, which has already cost the taxpayer £230 million and delivered no vessels, goes to the very top of the SNP government.
This gross ministerial incompetence and negligence is unacceptable to the Scottish taxpayer. These ferries were due to enter service in 2018, but consistent delays have kept islanders waiting for nearly two years.
The separatists have failed island communities and the Scottish taxpayer.
