At my latest surgery in Port Ellen deep concerns were raised by local residents of North Bay about the shocking road and pavement conditions both of which are covered with large potholes and are becoming over grown. Using these pavements and roads is particularly difficult for North Bay's elderly residents and I would implore our council to rectify this matter before someone is hurt.

Even more concerning for local residents is the condition of a nearby wooden electric pylon which would look more at home in a third world county than in a modern industrialised nation. If this is as unsafe as it looks then I would hope SSE would act rapidly to fix this potentially dangerous situation.

I have contacted both SSE and our roads department and provided pictures along with strong words from myself to get these matters looked at.
