Highlands and Islands MSP Donald Cameron is urging local residents and businesses to have their say when it comes to finding a permanent solution for the A83.
Mr Cameron made his comments after receiving a response from Transport Secretary Michael Matheson to his most recent letter requesting action.
The Scottish Conservative MSP said: “At long last we seem to be getting a commitment to action that will bring to an end the years of uncertainty over the A83.
“In his response to my letter, Mr Matheson, promises that “stakeholders” will be consulted on the options being proposed. So far as I am concerned stakeholders must mean every business and resident in Argyll and Bute who has been affected by this long-running problem.
“The more people that get involved the less likely that this issue will be kicked into the long grass once again.
“I will certainly be doing my bit to ensure that as many people as possible are made aware of the process and get the opportunity to contribute their thoughts.”
