The Policy Lead for Economic Growth on Argyll and Bute Council, Cllr Alastair Redman, is encouraging local young people to enter a Dragon’s Den competition run by the Social Enterprise Academy.
Cllr Redman said: “This could be a great opportunity for young people from Argyll and Bute to test their ideas and gain some very useful feedback – as well as winning a cash prize!
“We will need all the energy and ideas of our budding social entrepreneurs to help promote social cohesion and encourage enterprise in the future and this seems like an excellent way of inspiring them.”
Highlands and Islands MSP Donald Cameron added: “It is good to see the Social Enterprise Academy undertaking this initiative and giving young people the opportunity to learn skills such as preparing a business case and team-working.
“These are important life skills and, as with so many skills, there can be real advantages to learning them when young.
“Good luck to all the contestants!”
