It was nice to catch up with my constituents in Tayinloan while attending my latest surgery there. The large potholes that are fast becoming craters on the A83 trunk road have been mentioned once again. With many local residents sighting potential accidents that may occur as a result of having a rough and dangerous surface on a road that many drivers travel at high speeds on.
As stated in my reports from other surgeries across my council ward, particularly from those on the Kintyre peninsula, the matter of flooded roads is raised time and time again. Many of my constituents will quite rightly asking how much resources are wasted filling in potholes without dealing with the causes of roads flooding.
Many of the pavements in Tayinloan are becoming over grown. I have asked our roads department to address this problem in the past but unfortunately the issue persists.
I will keep lobbying for greater investment in our roads and infrastructure from both Scottish Government and our local council.
