I was back in Tarbert recently speaking to my constituents on the doorstep about numerous local concerns including the need for more housing in the village and better maintenance of current local social housing.

I'm still receiving complaints about the condition of the closes in many of the blocks of flats. The planned extra houses are certainly a welcome step in the right direction but many of my constituents have told me that even more housing will be needed in the future.

I have raised all these matters through the appropriate departments and will continue to push for more and better in the Kintyre and Island ward and across Argyll and Bute.
