While attending my latest surgery in Carradale I was able to check in on the grass verges being cut in East Kintyre.
After raising this matter with our roads department on numerous occasions it's great to see our hard working roads men getting the job done.
I was also able to hear from my constituents about the patchwork that has been done on the local roads network. While these pothole repairs are always better than no action being taken, Carrdale residents continue to justifiably ask for proper resurfacing to be done.
The matter of dirty and worn signs on the Kintyre peninsula is being raised once again, despite the hard work by local volunteers stepping in to do the cleaning work themselves. I fear that without these very old signs being replaced we could see some real risks to road safety.
It was also great to see the temporary Carradale shop doing a roaring trade and thanks must go to the numerous hard working volunteers who sacrifice so much of their time to keep this vital pillar of the community open.
