During my most recent visit to Tayinloan for my latest surgery, many important local issues were brought up.
These included the terrible condition of many parts of the A83, in some cases caused by flooding as well as over all neglect. As we all know the A83 is such an important through road in Scotland which connects the Central Belt, via the A82 from Glasgow, with the south west of Scotland, across Kintyre and all the way down to Campbeltown.
Frankly piecemeal patch work and lots of promises from BEAR Scotland are just not good enough for the Kintyre and Islands ward and across Argyll & Bute.
Many local residents are also justifiably concerned about broken and overgrown drains and pavements in the village of Tayinloan. I have raised all of these concerns and more centrally and will continue to fight to make sure this village much like the rest of Kintyre and the Islands ward are not overlooked.
