I have been speaking at length with Argyll and Bute Council's policy lead for education Yvonne McNeilly about the ongoing issue in regards to the Gigha dairy being unable to sell milk to the local Gigha primary school.
It is vital that we as a Council do all that we can to help and encourage local businesses grow and prosper. It seems ridiculous that Gigha's primary school is forced to source it's milk from off their own Island when they have a wonderful dairy right on their own doorstep.
It's high time common sense prevailed and Gigha's primary school is allowed to sell Gigha milk.
