I was happy to attend the latest West Kintyre Community Council meeting in Clachan recently, to hold another successful surgery in Tayinloan the following day and to leaflet and speak to local residents on the doorstep in Tayinloan and Musdale.
I had the opportunity to listen to local problems in regards to road resurfacing, drainage issues, slow broadband speeds, poor mobile phone signal, speeding through villages and many more important local concerns.
The majority of constituents I spoke to are deeply worried about the future of their local shop and Post Office. Coming from a retail and Post office background myself I know all to well the importance of small local businesses and Post Offices to their communities.
As your local Councillor I will do all that I can to assist my constituents with this matter.
I'm doing my upmost to reach every corner on my council ward as often as possible. It's was great to speak to so may of my constituents and I'm looking forward to coming back to West Kintyre soon.
