In addition he will be taking part in a political debate with politicians from across the political spectrum on devolving powers from Holyrood to the Highlands & Islands in the festival’s Verb Garden on Saturday afternoon.Speaking today Jamie, who performed as the Midnight Shepherd at Tartan Heart in 2013, said:“ I am greatly looking forward to performing at Tartan Heart both in the political debate and also bringing the Midnight Shepherd back for a second time.“ My family and I always enjoy Tartan Heart music festival which is a real highlight of our summer. This festival is indeed symbolic of an event which has grown from an acorn into a mighty oak of a festival which is popular across the Highlands & Islands and beyond. It also provides the Highlands and Scottish economy with a significant economic boost.“ I pay tribute to Joe and Leonie Gibbs all those involved in the hard work of organising Tartan Heart each year and hope for good weather this weekend.”
