Following the Ministerial Statement on Ferguson Marine, Highlands and Islands MSP Donald Cameron commented:
“The people who have suffered the most from the SNP’s ferry fiasco are local residents and businesses in my region who are dependent on a reliable and resilient ferry service.
“We learnt very little more from the statement other than confirmation that the ferries will be five years late and that the cost has, at least, doubled.
“The only other noteworthy development was the continued absence of the former SNP Finance Secretary, Derek Mackay, who was responsible for the negotiations, but has failed to attend the Parliament since he was forced to resign.”
