At today's Council meeting I yet again brought up the issue of my council ward's disintegrating road network.
In the Kintyre and Island's ward we are very much victims of our own success with the huge growth in our local industries our roads are seeing ever greater quantities of heavy freight moving across them. Unfortunately this as we all know has lead to yet more strain on an already underfunded road network.
I was pleased that so many fellow Councillors agreed with my stance on roads and the massive imbalance of tax revue generated on Islay and Jura compared to what we are receiving in return.
Without large scale investment from the Scottish and U.K government our crumbling roads and the justifiable feelings of frustration and anger will not go away.
