Ferry campaigners mobilised at the Scottish Parliament today to demand a better ferry service on the Dunoon to Gourock route.
Members of the Dunoon to Gourock Ferry Action Group (DGFAG) met at Parliament with politicians from across the political spectrum to hand in postcards which were launched at the groups AGM in September.
The campaign focused on seeking a ferry service that meets the full needs of the local community.
Highlands and Islands MSP Donald Cameron met with activists in the Parliament to discuss the campaign further.
Donald said:
“I am delighted to support the campaign launched by the Dunoon to Gourock Ferry Action Group and will do all I can in the Scottish Parliament to see that DGFAG's objectives for a robust and reliable town centre service are met.
I have frequently met with ferry activists in Dunoon and I have also asked a number of parliamentary questions about the potential for RET on the route. We all want to see a ferry service that works for the local community and I look forward to helping DGFAG drive this forward”.
