It was great to catch up with my constituents in Caol Ila today.

On the doorstep I heard about many pressing local matters including local pothole and drainage issues and the problems caused by ferry disruptions. There was also justifiable anger at the cancelling of flights from Islay to Edinburgh.

The news of Argyll and Bute's rural growth deal has been well received by my constituents. I look forward to seeing how we can best use this funding to support our local communities.

After years of SNP investment in the Central Belt, I welcome this commitment to investing in Argyll and Bute and the positive impact that it could have.
