It has been revealed that a top Scottish Government official requested a change to a press statement about when they first learned about harassment complaints against Alex Salmond.

The official, who works with Nicola Sturgeon, feared they would faced consequences for their career if the press statement wasn’t changed.

Sturgeon has done everything in her power to evade scrutiny and dodge questions of her involvement in this scandal. Statements have been manipulated and the truth has been deliberately hidden.

This is a clear attempt at a cover-up and an abuse of power at the heart of government. Nicola Sturgeon must answer for it.
