It was great to speak to local residents on the Isle of Jura while attending the latest Jura Community Council meeting.
Since my last trip to Jura many potholes that had been sprayed with a white outline for filling by our roads department are still to be done. Many of these potholes have expanded from the original painted outline and have become large craters that are both deep and wide. I will keep pressing our local roads department for solutions as well as continuing lobbying our MSP's for extra funds from central government.
Aside from roads many other issues were discussed both at the JCC and while out visiting my constituents, including ferries, transport links, mobile phone signal and internet speed across the island.
I hope to be back on Jura as soon as possible to check up on any progress that has been made with infrastructure improvements.
