It was great to speak directly to local residents while putting out Ruth's latest No to Indryref2 leaflet today.
I met many of my constituents and listened to their concerns about the short term nature of road repairs as well as many other important local issues.
Just recently one of my constituents unfortunately had both wrists badly injured tripping over one of the large potholes in Burchladdich.
Leaving roads unmaintained will not only lead to the final repair bill being much higher but will also lead to our local Council paying out large sums of taxpayer's money to settle claims.
A sensible program of works are needed to fix our roads across the Kintyre and Islands ward. Not just piece meal patchwork and hoping in vain that the general public will stop complaining as time goes on.
