The SNP must act following a damning report into Scotland’s police complaints system. Recently in the Scottish Parliament, the Scottish Conservatives held a debate on a report into Scotland’s police complaints system after the SNP neglected to make a Ministerial statement on it.
Dame Angiolini’s report exposed fundamental flaws in the system and made 81 recommendations to improve it. It is deeply concerning that the SNP appear to have built a system that is rife with discrimination and lacking in transparency and fairness.
It is vital that the SNP act on these recommendations now to repair public confidence in the integrity of Scottish policing.
