I have been contacted by many of my constituents in Tayinloan about the deteriorating condition of the A83 in that area due to regular flooding and drainage issues.
I have contacted BEAR Scotland about this matter and they have informed me that; "a resurfacing scheme is planned for delivery in Early May 2019. The drainage through this section will also be inspected at the time and any repairs carried out. We are continuing to inspect the carriageway weekly and carry out temporary repairs as they are required in order to keep the carriageway in a serviceable condition."
Across Argyll road users have been forced to put up with the A83 that is seemingly left to deteriorate coupled with lengthy delays in repair works. We Argyll residents should not be forced to fork out large sums of money to repair our vehicles as a result of driving on this substandard road.
